Hiring a professional carpet cleaner like Revive Chem-Dry is the best way to deeply clean your carpets and keep your home healthy. After scheduling your appointment, you might wonder what you can do to ensure your cleaning service goes as smoothly as possible.
While you don’t need to make any significant changes to your home to experience the effects of our innovative carpet cleaning process, there are a few simple things you can do to prepare for a visit from Revive Chem-Dry. Here are a few steps that will help our carpet cleaners quickly get the job done and enable you to return to your day-to-day routine without any hassle.
Remove Clutter
There’s no need to do a complete declutter of your home to enjoy a cleaner, fresher carpet. It is, however, important to remove items from the carpeted area so our technicians can carefully clean every inch.
This step is also important for eliminating tripping hazards for our team members. Items that are frequently overlooked include shoes, toys, books, and small electronic devices.
Relocate Lighter Pieces of Furniture
Heavy, hard-to-lift pieces can stay on the carpet, but any lighter furnishings should be relocated to another area of your home until the carpet is clean and dry. As our carpet cleaners are not licensed furniture movers, this is an important step for you to perform before we arrive.
Simply clearing the area of small furniture such as floor lamps, side tables, and ottomans can improve the ability of our technicians to give your carpet the deep, thorough clean it needs.
Ensure Important Items are Safe
Our technicians work carefully, but accidents can happen. We encourage all clients to secure fragile items, heirlooms, and valuables in a safe location to prevent avoidable accidents and minimize unnecessary risks.
Make Note of Problem Areas
If there are specific areas you’d like us to give extra attention to, let us know. While our technicians conduct a spot test and thorough pre-inspection before beginning the carpet cleaning process, we realize you know your carpet best. It’s also helpful to let us know if there is anything such as pet urine in the carpet (if there is a large amount of urine, let us know when we schedule your appointment so we can be prepared to clean it!).
Don’t hesitate to let us know if there are any areas you think require special attention or that you have questions about.
Keep Pets in Another Room
While the formulas used in our Hot Carbonating Extraction (H.C.E.) process are safe and non-toxic for pets, it could be difficult for our technicians to do their work if your pet is underfoot. Plus, some pets don’t take fondly to strangers working in their homes. Take a moment to put your pet in another room before our carpet cleaners arrive. If we’re cleaning the entire home, we recommend taking the pets out of the home for the duration of the cleaning. It’ll only be a matter of hours before they can have free reign to enjoy your freshly cleaned carpet!
Have a Plan for Parking
Some of our cleaning processes require us to use van-mounted equipment. We’re able to work much more efficiently if we can park as close to the door as possible. Even when your requested services do not require these van-based systems, we still need to get our equipment from the vehicle to your front door. Thus, we ask clients to facilitate nearby parking and make a clear path to the service area. If you live in an apartment building or another housing situation that might make it difficult to get our equipment to you, please let us know ahead of time.
